RACHEL BRIGNONI became pregnant at the age of seventeen - a circumstance considered tragic in the eyes of society. It was the shame that crashed down upon her which could have shattered her hope for the future. Feeling broken at times but unwilling to accept hopelessness, she withstood the harsh judgment of others. During this journey she realized that her son was one of her greatest gifts and would teach her the value of her circumstance. Determined to create a legacy of success, she overcame many obstacles while raising her son as a young mom. Working several jobs to make ends meet, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. She is currently a Human Resources Executive at a Fortune 100 company where she provides counsel on organizational effectiveness and employee-related issues. She is also Vice President of her own company which revitalizes impoverished homes in an effort to provide quality housing within communities. Her book Hope...Joy (and a Few Little THOUGHTS)™ for Pregnant Teens is the first in a series of books dedicated to inspiring parents and young adults to consciously create a life filled with hope and joy.

Now thirty-three, Rachel lives in Florida with her husband and three children.
